Well if he/she's a he then how about Dusty? That was the name of my old budgie, he was grey with a white head.
What types of names are you looking for? Or does it matter. How about its personality? Maybe that'll help with the name.

no it doesnt matter what type of names
If you have a photo of him/her we could tell you if its a boy or a girl. It's actually very easy to tell when they're young. :)
Yes it is, I think Bea has taught us all how to do it!

I found the best way for Bobby to tame and step up was I would sit next to his cage and just chat to him through the bars, I didn't try to touch him or anything, just talked to him, about anything and everything! The weather, how my day was etc. Eventually he jumped onto the side of the cage and tilted his head sideways, so I continued for a couple of days with my hand on the cage. Slowly I started just leaving my hand in the cage resting on the bottom perch, and then a couple of days after that I extended my finger out to him and he hopped on! I didn't move my hand for a while, just let him sit on it for a bit and then moved it slowly around in the cage. When he stopped jumping off when I moved my hand I brought him out of the cage on my finger and then moved him close to my face and talked to him calmly (Good boy Bobby).
This is also how I taught him how to talk and whistle, as I when I first started talking to him I constantly repeated the same things again and again! He isn't the clearest talker yet, but so far he says "whatcha doin", "Hello", "Bobby", "Budgie" and he just started saying "I love you". Now I am teaching to say Mummy, basically whenever I let him out of the cage or whenever I talk to him I say whatever word I am trying to teach him over and over again. When he is a bit clearer I will start to teach him sentences! Bobby is my first budgie BTW!

I think the name pepper would be a good name for a gray budgie or of course Skeeter would work. Does your budgie look like this?
