Hi. A lot has happened this past month at Talk Budgies, and this newsletter will sum it all up for you. Also, there are several announcements about upcoming events at Talk Budgies!
STAFF CHANGES

The staff has gone through some changes this past month. Donna was promoted to moderator of the Budgies category. She demonstrated her abilities in the Budgie Talk forum, and was promoted to the Budgies category. Congratulations Donna! Also, a new staff member joined our team this past month. pal0m1n0 was added as moderator for the off-topic areas of the site. These areas include the Off Topic forums and the New Members Area category. Congratulations pal0m1n0!
UPDATED FORUM RULES

Another change to the forum rules pertained to the use of "netspeak" on the forums. There was some confusion on this topic, so I hope to clear this up now. When I say netspeak is not allowed, I don't mean it's not allowed anywhere, any time, for any reason. I mean I don't want entire posts being posted in netspeak, with you knowingly posting in it. If you happen to slip every now and then, that's fine. I just don't want your entire post to be only in netspeak. This is what is not allowed. If you have any questions, feel free to PM a staff member.
ANOTHER MILESTONE APPROACHING

Have you looked at the total posts in the forum statistics section (found at the bottom of the forum home)? We're quickly nearing the 50,000 post mark! This is a huge milestone. We're currently a little over 5,000 posts away from this. There's no doubt this will likely occur this month, which is why this is being added to the newsletter. In addition, we're nearing the 4,000 thread and 900 member marks. Good job everyone, and thank you for helping up (almost) reach these great milestones.
VERSION TWO

What's that? Version 2? That's right. We're preparing to move Talk Budgies into Version Two. What exactly is v2? Well, to celebrate Talk Budgies one-year birthday (at the end of January), we will be moving into v2. This new version project will consist of many things. Some of these things include a major software upgrade, different format for usergroups, and more. Stay tuned for details. The senior staff is currently working hard to put this together. In the end, it should be great, and should make us better than ever. Keep an eye for announcements popping up in the coming weeks...
