My budgie sneezing, coughing

Hi,

My budgie is coughing and sneezing, he has caught cold and infection in throat.
I showed to a vet and he gave some powder medicines to be given with water and food.

Can anybody suggest me any more homemade stuffs which wud b gud to clear my budgies throat n nose.

I would not be tempted to try anything else but what the vet has prescribed, if you can get hold of some fresh Eucalyptus leaves then give those to the bird, the leaves contain wonderful healing properties that will assist in the birds recovery (please ensure that they are free of chemicals etc), and when the bird fully recovers try some fresh herbs (small amounts), parsley, sage etc, and the following tonic:
Mix 2 parts bicarbonate of soda to 1 part citric acid mix together evenly, add one teaspoon of this per litre of water and give to the bird every other day.

Let us know how it goes with the bird, I hope it recovers soon.:)
