i have been at the pet store and saw some harness's for birds. from what it appears you can take your bird out side and along with you. with out the worry of your bird flying off, im thinking about getting one because pegs loves the outside but i dont want himto see a cute little bird and wounder off. Also i have see that electra uses her flying against me. i was think i could put this on her, and have her close to me and each day get closer and closer to me.. From what i have read and seen they are not harmful to the birds and help alot.. anyone have any experince with them.
They're only safe for birds that are about tiel size or larger. Budgies are too tiny and can slip out of things more easily. You're also supposed to clip your birds wings for extra safety if you use the harnesses.
I've never seen one and I was wondering is they even existed! Well I'll look out for one!
I'm sure they're safe if they're being sold.
You will find that they are sold for larger birds.
*sighs* Oh well. *dreams*
You can get something called a Flight Suit for budgies, they're like a combined nappy and harness: http://www.flightquarters.com/
Yes they are for larger birds such as conures, cockatoos, and macaws but if you would clip your budgies wings then it should not be a problem trying to catch it if it trys to escape.
Yes, I'm going to clip soon.

i'm with bea on this one... those little harnesses are to easy for your bird to slip out of. if your determined to try, i highly sugest useing indoors numerous times first to be sure and most definatley make sure their clipped! I would hate to see you loose you birdies :(
good luck :)
I've lost 3 before, and believe it's horrible to see an empty cage.
