budgie playgrounds

anybody ever built theyre own budgie playground? can i see pics of your budgie playground i dont care if u built it or not but itll give me an idea of how to build mine a playground. and any tips of building one? im thinking dowel rods and hot glue? or some wood glue or something? idk whats nontoxic that can keep the wood together?

I built two playgyms for my birds and attached another playgym to a cage stand I had.

I used:
1. Regular plywood
2. Thick and thin dowels
3. Non-toxic Wood glue
4. Screws

I just bought plywood cut it to the size I wanted, drilled holes in the thick dowel, then I put the smaller dowels in it with wood glue, and then attached the thicker dowel to the plywood with a screw. You can get more ideas from the pictures. I hope they are useful:) .

Use child safe craft glue and make sure none is exposed. :) This is my shop bought gym:

I've changed it now though so there's not much on it, i put toys and food scattered on the base so they can pick at it. :) I'll get a photo and post it.

I made 2 playgyms and modified a store bought one. One of the gym I made is small and portable. The other one is big and is on the floor. I call it the home-base gym because when the birds get frighten and fly off or if I'm cleaning the cage, the birds fly down to that gym. The store boughten gym size is inbetween the other two. That gym is on top of the cage. I used a white board for a base. I have different size dowels, rectangle pegs and other weird pieces of wood. I use glue. Also, great to use is lollipop sticks. I made a 3' ladder out of beads and lollipop sticks. I'll post the pictures of the gm in the gallery.

those gyms are cool. thanks for the tips i would never have thought of drilling a hole into the dowel and sticking a smaller dowel in betwee. so is nontoxic child safe crafts glue ok if a budgie ingest it. ill try to make sure no glue shows but i just wanted to know.
