Just curious, have you every seen your budgie, for lack of a better description, wag its tail feathers? Tiki seems to be doing this more often and it seems like he is very happy or excited at the time. What do you think?:budgie:

I can identify with the tail wag! My budgies sometimes do it when they are a bit stressed out; it's like they're just shaking off their jitters. Sometimes they seem to do it just after preening to shake off some dust or whatever! Other times, they seem to do it out of excitement.
Budgies sure do have some interesting behaviours!! :p
I think it's really cute when they shake their tail! :D The funniest tail wag i've seen a budgie do was when Squidward got a tail feather out of place, he just kept wagging his tail back and forth! Looked so cute!
Once Billy wagged his tail so hard, that he fell off his perch! It was soooo funny!

My new one Skyla did it the first couple of days, so I am assuming it was because she was frightened but shes settled really well, shes still really nervous will step up though the ngets down again..although she will sit in y hand and let me carry her back to her cage..she also lets you stroke her like a cat and doesnt bite at all.xxxx
my two do it after a good fly. Then they also do that after a good preen.
