Aaralyn Has Stepped Down

With deep regret I am announcing that our valued administrator Aaralyn (aka softie) has stepped down from her position today. We have been in contact and I didn't want to make an official announcement until she was certain. Well, it has been confirmed and effective today Aaralyn will no longer be a staff member here at Talk Budgies.

She is stepping down due to personal reasons in her private life. With that said, I ask that you please respect her privacy and not bombard her with questions as to why she is leaving. Should the time ever arise, she will make a statement on the forums.

Until then, I would like to clarify a few points that I'm sure will come up:

This was Aaralyn's decision. She has done a great job and would have continued to do so. This was not my decision, and it was not for disciplinary reasons. As I already mentioned, the sole reason for her departure is because of personal reasons.
She stated that she loves TB and it was difficult for her to come to this decision. Animosity or hostility toward the community was not the reason for her stepping down. I'm sure she will confirm this fact. She's leaving on a semi-good note.
As of right now, I have not discussed replacements yet with the staff. I'm not sure if we're going to promote a moderator to administrator or not. Either way, I'm sure we will be bringing on at least one or two new moderators soon to fill the void. There might also be more extensive re-workings of the staff system, which means we might bring on more than a couple new staff members. (No current staff members will be dropped.) Keep an eye out for more details.
We will miss you Aaralyn! I hope you will continue to remain a valued member of our community eventually.

Aaralynn...when I came here a year ago you welcomed me and have always had uplifting and wonderful words to say. You are an irreplaceable part of Talk Budgies and you will be sorely missed. Hi everyone :)

It's been an extremely difficult day for me today. Dave and I have only confirmed the decision this morning, but it has taken me a very long time to come up with this solution. Let me reassure you that none of my time here has been taken for granted. None of the friendships that I have made here will ever be forgotten. :)

I am leaving on a good note and I do wish everyone the best of luck. Perhaps I can return in the future with a fresh start and reconnect with everyone here. (So you better be here! :P)
