Been real depressed...

Our Nana got a tumour. Doc couldn't help, except to explain everything and tell us what signs to look for to know when it was time to bring her in.. It was awful. She was suffering at the end, and I think we waited longer than we should have... we argued because Joe didn't want to let her go. I had to finally put my foot down... anyway, it's over now. Poor Nana.. She was such a sweeetheart. She was good natured and quiet, and pretty much let Pico have his way about everything all day, but at night, every night, she claimed her rightful place on the highest perch-- the swing-- and Pico challenged her every night for that perch, but he did not get it!! Well, at the end he did-- at that point we had to separate them.. We have Pico and Pippin' together now. Pippin' seems to have all of Picos' mischeivious ways, and Nanas' good naturedness. Together Pico and Pippin' are quite a pair!! Father and son.. they love each other dearly, but at the end of the day... Pippin', takes his Mamas' old sleeping place!:) RIP my darling Nana, your son carries on for you, and your loving people and animal friends will see you again one day...

I am lost of words on just how sorry I am for you and your budgies. Nana seems like a beautiful, caring budgie and I bet she still is, even if she's not with us anymore.

I am truly sorry but I am glad that Nana is not suffering any longer.

Sorry to hear about Nana, our bobo had the same thing and we found him hanging on the perch in the morning. So we know how you feel. RIP Nana, nice that the son and dad carry on.

I'm so sorry Abel, to hear of the loss of your dear sweet Nana. I hope your depression lifts soon. It is so hard to lose someone you love. It sounds like you have many happy memories of your sweetie. I hope those warm thoughts will bring many future smiles your way, as you think on those times.

Also, where have you been? We have missed you. It is good to have you back. (Even if it's under sad circumstances.) Thanks for sharing your pain with those who care.

Thanks you guys. I'm alright now. It just sucks that we have to lose them. They become such a part of our lives... Anyway, some of you that know me, know that we had lost our precious pigeon, Ruby, a long time ago. We buried Nana next to Ruby, and our vet made us little footprints of Nana, just as he did when Ruby died. Those little things bring me comfort. I've been gone from the forum for a long time because my son is involved in so many things that, what with work, and driving him everywhere, and going to all his concerts and activities, and trying to keep the home running, well, sometimes it's just overwhelming, as all you mothers and pet owners know, I'm sure. Anyway, thanks again for your friendship and support. At times like this I couldn't do without it.
