It's time for the ELIMINATIONS! :evil:

Now, the Next Top Model team has been feeling that the competition has been too... calm latey :cool: So we've decided to spice things up a little bit! :eek:

In perhaps one of our most shocking twists yet, I am here to announce that this week we will have be having a DOUBLE ELIMINATION! :evil:

You all didn't expect that, did you! :p

So seeing as we are down to our top 4, this double elimination will give us our TOP 2 finalists, who will battle it out for the ultimate prize, of All Bird's Next Top Model! :D

But which two birds have made it? :S

Before I announce which two birds have been eliminated, I just wanted to say that I am so so proud with all of you! :( You all battled it out from day 1, and to be here in week 9 is an AMAZING achievement! :D

You all should be so, so proud of getting this far! You've survived the toughest challenges, the worst twists, the hardest elimination, and just to get this far is fantastic! :D Good luck everyone ;)

Overrall, our judges faced the impossible this week :( They had the task of choosing TWO beautiful birds, to be eliminated so close to the end :( To make it worse, the photos were all ABSOLUTELY fantastic in my opinion! :eek:

Ok, I won't hold it off any longer :crying2: In the end the judges came to a decision. And I am sorry to announce that

Speedy and Boof

and

Xealot and Charlie

have been eliminated :crying2: Both of you were amazing competitors, and I am sad to see you go :( Your hearts were poured into this competition, and we could see it through the stunning photos you both produced each week :( But now, will you both please say your goodbyes, pack your bags, and leave this competition immediately :crying2: A cab is waiting outside :driving:

Below are the OFFICIAL Talk Budgies All Bird Next Top Model rules. They are posted each week to remind you all how the competition is run. Read them carefully

RULES:
Contestents have 5 days to PM me a picture of their bird posing for the challenge (there will be a new one each week).

Judges will then have the remaining 2 days to PM me their nominations on who should go for that week. The budgie with the most nominations will be out. Contestents who don't PM me their picture by the end of the time constraints will automatically be out.

I will post the contestents pictures on the thread as soon as I get them, via PM. I will announce who is out at the start of each week.

For those of you still wishing to participate, there is still a chance. Each week, just post a picture of your bird doing the challenge, on the thread. Throughout the competition, I will pick 2 budgies from the public to fill in the places of 2 evicted contestents. 1 person will be chosen after round 2 and the other will be chosen after round 4.

NOTE that evicted contestent cannot win the competition anymore. But don't let it spoil your fun of posting pictures though. The only thing is that as an ex-conestant you will not be chosen anymore to be a contestent once again.

The trumph card:
So basically, if you're bird is not co-operating with you for the challenge and you don't know what to do, you can use your trumph card.

The trumph card is "Playful Bird" so you need to take a photo of your bird playing with you, or its toys and send it in instead of the challenge.

Rules of trumphcard:
Can only be used ONCE during the entire contest.
The trumph card can be used for all rounds except the final. Sorry guys ;)

Our challenge for this week is....... " Next Top... Actress?" (yet another horrible challenge name. Creativity at its best. oooh, which reminds me, IOU karma Aaralyn ;))

Alright, so we had this challenge last finale, and it was loved so much that I've decided to bring it back again! :D

We don't want a picture this week! :cool: Instead we want you to post a video of your bird. Plain and simple :) We aren't looking for anything specific, so let your creativity run wild :) You may want to post a video of your bird playing, or perforimng a trick, or interacting with others, or having a bath. The possibilites are endless! :D

This is how it will work. Once Masae and Crystal send me their links to their videos, I will post our FINAL thread for ABNTM 09; titled "Grand Finale" :)

Make sure not to miss it! :D In the thread, we'll recap the competition, get comments from our judges, a thankyou speech, many other stuff (which will remain a surprise for now ;) ), and of course announce who is All Bird's Next Top Model! :D

I'm really sorry I missed the deadline. I bought a little parrotlet a week ago, and yesterday he took a turn for the worse. Unfortunately he couldn't even hold on long enough for me to get him to the emergency vet clinic. I'm just devastated. He had already become such a big part of out family. I was up consoling my 3 year old last night. She told me "Bugsy was the best bird in the world", and she was up crying for hours asking me if she was going to die, or if my husband or I was going to die. Please accept my apology for letting everyone down, I take my responsibilities seriously and feel really bad that I didn't record and submit my video. I had to borrow a camera that took video, and didn't get it until yesterday.

Thank you Bug, Susan and Tammy for your condolences. My daughter is taking it much better today, although she did say to me "Look I ate my lunch so I won't get dead!" She is trying really hard to understand what happened.

I just finished sending in my video. Mickie is trying out the new bird playground I bought. Her buddy Louie is also in the video. For some reason I hear a high pitched ringing noise when I play the video, I'm not sure why :S

I wanted to say a special thank you to Masae for encouraging me to add Mickie's video, I really wanted to be sure that you were okay with me entering my video late. I think Mochi is an exceptional bird, and I don't think any video I could come up with could top hers!

I hope to post up our finale thread tonight :D (Meaning about 10 hours ;)). But it is Easter today in Australia, and my household has the WHOLE family over, I actually should be downstairs right now :o So if I get a chance ad everyone leaves early, it'll be up in about 10 hours :D
