I just have a plan boring cage but I use a mixture of cement perches and natural wood.

I like the cement ones they come in many colors and thickness. I have one pink really fat one that they love.

Here are my budgies cage -

I plan on getting them a bigger cage, so I asked my dad if he can buy me one for Christmas :D

I wouldn't place a cage near windows, it'll be hard to regulate temperatures as well as fight the breeze which could cause your budgies to get ill. Also, it would be good not to place the cage near any heaters, air conditioners, vents etc.

There are so many cages on the market, it is hard to know what kind of cage to buy. I do know that the bigger the better. Don't buy a round cage as they say birds find this boring. I like cages with a flat top so I can put toys or a little play stand on top. Color...well that is up to you. I don't know about the new Visions cages that are mostly plastic. I have never had one so I don't know. However they don't really appeal to me and I find they kinda heavy.

Don't put your cage near heat or cold. Don't put your cage were it would be in direct sunlight as this could be to hot for your budgie. Try to put your cage in a room were the family will spend a lot of time.

My set up, white cage on left is 30 long, 18 deep and 18 high, which has 3 budgies in it. The one on the right has 1 budgie in it.

That's my cage. I wouldn't put more than two budgies in it. The dimensions are 18"x18"x30" and my boys love it. I have all sorts of perches: natural, rope, cholla, cement. :)
