:budgie: They open their mouth like a bite however you don't feel it at all, more like opening their mouth for a taste of you or something? My BB did this today to my arm, and my t-shirt....I think he was tasting me, lol.

Do they sort of "nibble"?

Budgies like to preen (clean) themselves, often everyday, and they will preen each other as well. This shows caring and affection.

Sounds to me your budgie is preening you :)

It could be preening or it could be that he was reaching out to pull himself up.

Do you think budgies will do this when finger training them. I know when I had Bobby he reached forward with his mouth open but I just moved before he could do anything as I thought he was going to bite me. :o

My budgies preen me too, i remember Bert used to love my long hair lol.

when happy was younger she loved my hair. It would feel really good when she would nibble on it. It made us buddies.

Budgies will used their beak like you would use your hand. The beak helps them to be able to do many things.
