Budgie of the Month Revived

That's right. I'm bringing back the Budgie of the Month contest. However Dave said that it wasn't quite as popular as he had hoped when it was done last time. The staff seemed to think it had to do with the contest's frequency.

Therefore we are introducing a slightly altered version of BOTM. We're calling it Budgie of the Season. The winners will be announced quarterly (every three months) to coincide with the change in seasons. So our first contest will take place over the spring and will conclude at the start of summer. (This first contest will be a bit abbreviated since we're already in spring.)

To also encourage participation, this contest will be more member-oriented. Those who want to enter will submit their entries and the staff pick the top X (the # hasn't been determined yet). The members will then vote on those over the following weeks in a tournament/bracket style. The winner will be chosen as the last budgie standing so to speak.

More about this will be posted in the coming days.

Oh, that's great to hear:) I have a question though. What kind of picture is it supposed to be? Is it a computer edited picture like my siggie or is it jsut a picture that has to do with spring?

The way BOTM worked in the past was you sent in the best picture you could find of your budgie along with some other info. They don't need to be edited like your signature pics. I'm not entirely sure of how the process will work this time around.
