so it looked like lola wanted to come out of the cage a while ago, so i opened the door and she hopped onto my shoulder. then the first thing she did was bite my cheek, hard! and bit me some more, *definitely* not love bites. bit my fingers too. so i managed to get her to let go of my fingers and get her back into the cage... grr...

the only thing that's different today is that i just bought some mineral-based foundation powder and put some on. mathew suggested that perhaps the mineral components fluoresce and that she could see the resulting ultraviolet. ...maybe? sounds kinda plausible but i dunno. perhaps i'll have to experiment with wearing it and not wearing it and see what happens.

Does she have a mineral block of her own? I think your boyfriend has an interesting thought. You should try finding a blacklight or similar and see if your makeup flouresces.

lol.. well you wont hurt to try not wearing the make up when you take her out next time.. she could have just been in a nippy mood.. i would suggest for now to avoid her going to your shoulder so she doesnt feel over dominant of you so to speak..and carry something around to distract her with if she gets into a nippy state... let us know how its goes ;)

they feel dominant if they're up on your shoulder? hmm, i wasn't aware of that...

she was out later on and she was fine, so perhaps i just misinterpreted her the first time when it looked like she wanted out. why can't they just say what's really on their minds?! :p

well its mostly the height... the higher they get.. the more confident they feel you cann say.. so its usually best to keep them at chest leve...

and yes if only they could clearly tell us what they want..

but i wouldnt have it any other way.. the fact that they cant talk just makes it all the more interesting..
