Now before we continue, I would just like to announce again, that Pippin's Mom has been signed on as a co-producer for next season! :D Congratulations again Julea! :D

Also, the quality of the photos this week was fantastic! :D The challenge was quite difficult, but you all produced fantastic shots! :party1:

Also, we have decided not to continue with the videos :cool: They are too hard to make and upload, so we've stopped them.

Instead, we will be showing a powerpoint presentation instead! :D I'm not sure how I'm going to get it to you all, but I will think of something, and have it up in 24 hours :) Dave (if you're talking to me :p) I could really use your help :o

Unfortunately, it is time for the ELIMINATIONS! :evil:

As you could imagine, the eliminations were EXTREMELY close this week! :eek: Everyone went extremely well, and it was hard to come to an agreement on who should go :(

But in the end, the judges came to a decision.... I am so so sorry to say this, but it is time to go.... :( :( :(

Below are the OFFICIAL Talk Budgies All Bird Next Top Model rules. They are posted each week to remind you all how the competition is run. Read them carefully

RULES:
Contestents have 5 days to PM me a picture of their bird posing for the challenge (there will be a new one each week).

Judges will then have the remaining 2 days to PM me their nominations on who should go for that week. The budgie with the most nominations will be out. Contestents who don't PM me their picture by the end of the time constraints will automatically be out.

I will post the contestents pictures on the thread as soon as I get them, via PM. I will announce who is out at the start of each week.

For those of you still wishing to participate, there is still a chance. Each week, just post a picture of your bird doing the challenge, on the thread. Throughout the competition, I will pick 2 budgies from the public to fill in the places of 2 evicted contestents. 1 person will be chosen after round 2 and the other will be chosen after round 4.

NOTE that evicted contestent cannot win the competition anymore. But don't let it spoil your fun of posting pictures though. The only thing is that as an ex-conestant you will not be chosen anymore to be a contestent once again.

The trumph card:
So basically, if you're bird is not co-operating with you for the challenge and you don't know what to do, you can use your trumph card.

The trumph card is "Playful Bird" so you need to take a photo of your bird playing with you, or its toys and send it in instead of the challenge.

Rules of trumphcard:
Can only be used ONCE during the entire contest.
The trumph card can be used for all rounds except the final.

On the upside, I finally found out just when Murdock's hatch date was, turns out Murdock is actually going on 9 months old! He hatched the morning of June 21st/08!!

I also just wnated to say that I think the challenge is unfair. Some species of birds are more acrobatic/playful then others. Like larger parrots are more playful and stuff.
I don't really even know why I am saying this.It's just that Cockatiels aren't really that acrobatic in nature. Also budgies....But I won't go into that:)
So yeah just thought i would say my opinion

I will have a talk with the judges, and we will decide whether to continue with an elimination or not.

Congratulations to all returning contestants :) Please step up your game as this is getting down to the nitty gritty :)

Sophie, I am sorry to see you quit so early into the challenge. Had you even tried to do the challenge and failed miserably, we would have understood a little more (not completely, but a little more). The challenge was thrown at you and you just threw in the white flag without even trying. When you came into this competition, you knew there were going to challenges. We've had this competition around for a very long time and the difficulty of these challenges were warned way before the All Birds competition even started.

And every week, Phillip and the judges have reminded all the contestants that the challenges were only to get harder. We picked you from the rest because we thought that you would at least try. It is just one of those cases where another member was eliminated or another member of the public was not picked when they actually had the potential to go all the way.

I'm sorry to be harsh on you, but I absolutely hate it when people give up so easily. It doesn't matter whether it's a college class or a photo contest.

Just a suggestion--I'm not sure that this is even a possibility??? Could Demonique and Murdock re-enter the competition as the closest runner up? This would make the competition continue as normal, and I've seen this done for other competitions when a contestant unexpectedly has to leave.

Very disappointing!:( Since everyone else has already said it all I will just say that I would have never been disappointed in you had you at least tried and didn't make it, but at least you would have tried. The fact that you entered and then just threw in the towel without even trying is the part that disappoints.:( Especially when you have a trump card.

You thought you were gone last week and you were ready to use your trump card and look what happened..the judges picked you as one of the contestants to stay and you got positive feedback from me at least on your photo. The challenge isn't unfair..if you knew Skittles was like this then why enter him?

I may be the only one feeling this way , but I think once a contestant is voted out that should stick..they shouldn't be brought back. I made some other suggestions to Phillip via PM just a bit ago so we'll see what comes of that.:)

It really isn't a good idea to bring back a contestant who has already been voted out partly because its not fair to the other contestants who have been voted out previously. Do you see how that could be a problem? Because why wouldn't we then consider all of the contestants who have been voted out as contenders for the spot? Because Murdock was the most recent voted off doesn't make it any more fair to bring him back over other contestants. And its not fair to other members of the public who should still get their chance since it was a member of the public who left the competition.:)

I have had a difficult time keeping track of who has entered as member of the public so have you been entering Hulk as a member of the public so far? If so you are supposed to stick with the same bird throughout the competition.

If you haven't entered Hulk before then you are more than welcome to enter Tequila as a member of the public or post a pic just for fun. Make sure you specify in your post though what you are doing...entering as a member of the public or just posting for fun.:)

As for us coming back, although we would have been honored, I have to agree with the judges decision to not bring Murdock back in. He was voted out fairly last week, and had they decided to bring us back in in light of recent events, I would have felt rather off about it and likely declined. Had we been brought back in and passed this week's challenge, I'd have personally felt undeserving of remaining as we had been voted out before, yet now remained when one of you still in were voted out. I'd rather see the spot filled by a MoP !!

That said, good luck models!!! we're rooting for ALL of you!!!

As a former contestant, I just feel that what has happened is extremley unfair and someone should be allowed to take the other contestant's place.
I saw how many people posted to be a member of the public and for someone to get it, and just throw it away because "it's too hard" is not fair at all.
But this issue has passed and the show must go on :D.

Yes, you must stick with the same bird you started with..so since you started with Vanity you have to stick with vanity. None of the other contestants can switch birds so it wouldn't be fair for MOTP to either.:)
