Hi all, i've had my joe for a week and i'm trying to tame him. I started trying to tame him after day 2. I've managed so far to be able to stoke his chest without him moving to much. I've tryed using the command, come on, for him to step on to my finger, but he doesnt seem to do it yet, maybe because he's abit nervous. On day 5 and 6 he has eaten out my hand. On day 7 he eat out of hand while moving him around the cage a little.

Progress= 1. I can stoke his chest without him moving too much
2. He has eaten out my my hand 3 times using millet spray, but only by moving my hand away from the perch, so that he has no choice but to clime onto my hand (without using the 'come on' command)

When i first got him i put millet spray into his cage and then four days later i put a honey seed bell thing in his cage. I have taken the millet spray out 2 days ago, so that i might have a better chance finger taming him. Do you think i should take out everything out except for the seed so that i have a better chance of getting him onto my finger?

Kind Regards, Richard

Budgies dont really like to be petted, my Skyla used tolet me but I think it was becasue she was actually scared, soon as she felt close to me then she let me know she didnt really like it that much, I may be wrong but all 3 of my budgies let me at first and now dont like it as much. Glad your training is going well though xxx :)
