Forum Signature In Photoshop
Ok there are different methods of creating signatures in Photoshop for forums. You may want a text signature or a photo one or a special effects one.
Picture Signature:
1. Create a new 150x300 document, plain white. (To create click file and then new)
2. Then on the left hand side you shall see a colour palette. One Black Square and White Square. Click on the black one and it will bring up a box with a square of colours. Click on the colour you want and then click ok.
3. Where you see the little paint bucket fill to, click it and then click somewhere in your plain document. You shall then see the document going from white to your chosen colour.
4. Now you can put some pictures in. Click file and then open and find your picture you would like to import. Click on it and then click open.
5. Click the arrow next to the circle on the left hand side tool palette and then and then from the top of the image (where the file text is) drag it over to the right hand side. You shall now be able to see your signature and image.
6. Now drag your image from the centre into your signature document. It might be too big but do not worry as we size it down. Click on the maximise button (square window) of your signature document to bring it to full size.
7. On your keyboard hold down CTRL and the letter T and when you see the empty box and the 8 corner square come up, let go. Dragging one of those letter squares called nodes will down size your image. So you might want to play around with them a bit to get your full picture in. After you have done it click the arrow again in the tool section.
8. Once that is done you have your picture in, you could put another or some piece of text if there is room.
9. To put in text simply press ‘T’ on your keyboard and click where you would like your text to appear. Because the last colour you used was the background colour it will have be something different. When using the text tool you shall see a text palette for different settings, e.g. like font, size, etc. So click on the little window with the colour in and choose your text colour.
10. After typing in your text it maybe a little out of place you can go off the text a little and see an arrow cursor. Drag around where you want it to go and it shall fit perfect.
There we are you have created a basic signature. After learning this over and over you can move on to more advanced things. Below is an example of what I created following this tutorial. I hope it’s ok and if you have any problems let me know. :)
