LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! Welcome to the 2nd round of Talk Budgies All Bird Next Top Model! :D We're definately going to have jam packed week :twothumbs:

But before we move on to this weeks challenge, I must first start with the ELIMINATIONS! :evil:

As always, this weeks elimination was judged by our three fabulous, marvellous and beautiful judges: :cool1: Pippin's Mom, :cool-smiley-025: softie and :king: cliff123! :bowrofl:

The elimination was extremely tough! :( All the photos were equally beautiful! We are so sorry to see such a beautiful model leave us now :(

But we must say goodbye to... :ohno:

Below are the OFFICIAL Talk Budgies All Bird Next Top Model rules. They are posted each week to remind you all how the competition is run. Read them carefully :)

RULES:
Contestents have 5 days to PM me a picture of their bird posing for the challenge (there will be a new one each week).

Judges will then have the remaining 2 days to PM me their nominations on who should go for that week. The budgie with the most nominations will be out. Contestents who don't PM me their picture by the end of the time constraints will automatically be out.

I will post the contestents pictures on the thread as soon as I get them, via PM. I will announce who is out at the start of each week.

For those of you still wishing to participate, there is still a chance. Each week, just post a picture of your bird doing the challenge, on the thread. Throughout the competition, I will pick 2 budgies from the public to fill in the places of 2 evicted contestents. 1 person will be chosen after round 2 and the other will be chosen after round 4.

NOTE that evicted contestent cannot win the competition anymore. But don't let it spoil your fun of posting pictures though. The only thing is that as an ex-conestant you will not be chosen anymore to be a contestent once again.

The trumph card: So basically, if you're bird is not co-operating with you for the challenge and you don't know what to do, you can use your trumph card.

The trumph card is "Playful Bird" :) so you need to take a photo of your bird playing with you, or its toys :) and send it in instead of the challenge.

Rules of trumphcard:
Can only be used ONCE during the entire contest.
The trumph card can be used for all rounds except the final.

This weeks challenge is "Birdy Bedtime" :D So PM me a picture of your bird peacefully sleeping :) :sleeping: Not too hard, for now, even tougher challenges will be introduced further on in the competition :evil:

Remember, if you find this challenge difficult, then use your Trumph Card :)

Unless I am confused then yes, as a member of the public you pick one of your birds and each week you do the challenge and post the photo in that week's thread - so yes you would post a picture of your bird (same bird as you posted last week) sleeping in this thread.

The members of the public need to enter their chosen bird for every challenge. Only two members of the public will be chosen to compete in the actual competition. These members will be chosen at different times during the competition.

Okay this time around Cliff was nice enough to PM some comments to Phillip as I had just lost Pippin and wasn't feeling up to commenting ..so we will use those for this time and they will be on Marc's video. We will begin a Judges comment thread starting with round two. That way contestants can see all of the comments from all of the judges instead of a select few that are chosen for the video. I think this will also benefit Marc because he can just go to our comment thread and take whatever comments he chooses for the videos without having to wait.

If you all would like we can go ahead and comment in the comment thread regarding week 1's photos if that would be helpful, but I won't be able to comment until later tonight which my be tomorrow for some odf you.:)

I will start a Judge's comment thread now though and sticky it.:)

try to give Coacoa low light but in a way that you can take a photo. I know how hard it is cuz Tequila wakes up and comes to me whenever i come close. Good luck!!!

I'd suggest you use your trumph card :) The entries so far have been absolutely amazing! :eek: And it looks like Coacoa is a bit of a Diva :p ;)

Suenem, Erika gave the same advice I was going to give...sit in a dark room watching tv or reading by low light or something, have your camera beside you, and Coacoa out and about. It's the only way I got a sleeping shot of Murdock!!at some point he'll doze off, just try not to make it obvious that you're watching for him to doze off!!!

Well..I was so close to having a sleeping pic of Spumoni, but my birds KNOW the sound of the camera turning on and they spring to attention!:P ARRRGGG..just this very moment I glanced over at the Linnie cage and Spumoni was asleep so I turned on the camera..so far so good..I walked to the cage..got into position..just ready to snap and Baylee makes this certain noise they make when they know we're close to their cage and Spumoni shot up and ran to the front of the cage to me...*sigh*

I think I'm going to end up using the card for this challenge..its so hard! Kudos to all of you who got pictures of sleeping birdies..and great ones at that!:D

Yes, it's 3:15 AM here right now. *sigh* still no sleeping pic. As Soon as I get by his cage he wakes up. Looks like it will be trumph for me. I hate that, especially since everyone else was able to get one :(

Ok, now things haven't been running accordingly this week, so I'm going to go through them now :(

I spoke ot Marc two or three days ago on MSN, and we were discussing the videos. He has told me that he has a REALLY BAD virus on the computer and hasn't been able to get onto his Movie Maker :( I also sent him a warning PM, asking for his photo but he hasn't replied... I'm suspecting that his computer is still giving him troubles :cool:

Secondly, there were 4 contestants who I had to send warning PM's to, asking them to send in their photos ASAP. I've only heard back form naburu and she gave me her photo :) I am still waiting on rachelle's pic of Elvis.

I haven't heard peep from Serenity this WHOLE competition, and she hasn't replied to my PM's, so I will decide what to do about her :cool: In a worst case scenario, she may be asked to leave and replaced by someone else :( Lets hope we get her photo in on time.

And regarding Marc, I'm not sure if he can get onto the internet and post a photo on his computer :( :( :( I don't know what to do about him :(

So, as you can see, Hollywood isn't all fun and games! :p I will contact the judges and we'll try and get through each issue one by one :)
