Well, it will be interesting to see if he is hiding anything. If not, would they be lutino split to albino/DP?

OMG!!! more of your babies are being set up means more chances that i'll get to add to my flock pretty soon ;)
I can't wait to see pics of the parents!!!!
btw i might be mistaken but didn't you say you were also gonna set up Gizmo with Jesse i think it was?
I'm always preoccupied with Gizmo- he is a favourite of mine :)

Cool, I would love to see the babies from this pairing!
By the way, what did you do, (I mean, did they pair up in the aviary, then you put them in a breeding cage..if you did, how soon did you move them both from the aviary into the cage? If not, I'd be curious to know what you did?) when you paired them up? I'm asking because I've got a pair who have been together for 2 weeks and still no eggs, (so it'll be nice to hear anything that might up the chances of me getting eggs :D) and I've also heard it takes a week after mating for the egg to develop and be laid?
Anyway, I bet your babies will be gorgeous! I love Lutinos. :)

I really didn't do anything other then put them in a cage together with a nest box
some birds take longer then others, i have a pair of English who've been set up for almost 3 months and they've done nothing

I cut back on my breeding pairs, , and instead of breeding 5 pairs at once like I did the last time I'm only breeding 2 or 3 pairs at a time. and once any babies born are in their new homes, then I'd breed another pair. Instead of how I did it last time and ended up with a whole lot of babies all at the same time
I never said I wasn't breeding any more though.

I guess I'm just not in agreement with giving up birds, only to turn around and breed more, what a month later?... to me its just irresponsible bird ownership. Just my opinion, sorry.

You've given a zillion reason as to why you should not breed, from making no money, to your landlord, to your health.... So since you make NO MONEY on breeding, in fact you've clearly stated you LOST money, why are you doing it? Especially since you gave up your a lot of your previous birds. I just don't get it! I find it pretty disturbing.
http://talkbudgies.com/showthread.php?t=32400
but I'll be honest I never thought I spent as much money as I found out I did today in the last year on my birds - and the sad thing is I know I've spent more then what I figured up , BUT I've only figured up since I started keeping receipts and the sad part is that is NOT a full years worth of receipts
So for all you members who think "oh one more bird won't hurt anything" I'm here to tell you YES IT WILL
MOST of you know May 2007 I started with ONE BIRD in as little as probably 7 months I was up to 65 Birds !!
and I'll be honest It isn't MY money that buys them or feeds them I am lucky enough to have a sweet(at times) boy friend Who does that all for me , I'm not saying he has bought every single thing, because Yes Some of it I have bought on my own BUT the vast majority of it came out of his pocket.
Now for those who think "well I'll just breed and sell the babies to make my money back" (THIS WAS MY BOYFRIENDS EXACT THOUGHTS) - I'm here to tell you DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT IT! Because that my friends is the biggest JOKE I've heard in a long time
NO i was not in it for the money! before any one starts that line
I just want all the members OLD and New who think One more bird Won't do any harm - To stop and smell the roses you will be loosing more then you make
When you hear/ read "breeding isn't a way to make money" Do not disregard that because I'm here to tell you it is 100% true
What I am about to say next I've only told 3 members, and I was NOT going to tell anyone else But I'm a honest person, and don't believe in hiding behind anything including a computer screen!
I am getting rid of A LOT of my birds - It started when the property manager started hitting me up for a pet deposit -NO that isn't the reason I'm getting rid of some, BUT it opened my eyes
I realized I have way too many, NOW in this house I cant let them ALL out like I did before, EVEN know I have the walls protected with thick heavy duty plastic, and the floors are covered with GOOD (expensive in other words) Shower board (it better be good at $18 dollars a sheet) and Good Thick Plastic runners going off of those
I have health problems - And I'm not getting any better (or any younger) Even know these stupid doctors keep saying " oh we will get you better" its been well over 4 years and I'm not getting better, I get worse, then stay the same then get worse, then stay the same I do NOT see getting better any time in my near future Having all these birds to clean up after (13 cages) on my own is too much on me! When I started getting my birds I'd been the same health wise for 2 years - figured I'd stay that way, But I didn't I spend ALL my free time (aside from cooking, doing dishes, washing clothes, normal house cleaning, and being with my kids) Cleaning up after birds I don't get to spend time with them any more Like i did at my other houses. So its time to cut back and only keep a couple pairs, Breed them One or 2 at a time and no more until the babies are sold.
I started out only wanting 1 bird! and before I knew it I had 65 birds and it wasn't even a year later!
