is yarn good for budgies??? i just want to make a yarn toy for them....

I would not use yarn to make toys. Their feet can get tangled up in it, or worse, they can get strangled.

I agree. No yarn or knitting of any kind. Actually, anything that needs to be tied or knitted or knotted is never a good choice for a toy. How abut something with a piece of string and some beads? Or a home-made swing?
Is there a craft store where you can get some supplies? There's tons of stuff you can make that's safe.

Besides the risks posted above..there is also the risk that in chewing causing the threads to unravel..they could possibly eat small threads and end up with an impacted crop.
Hemp cord , leather, and siskel are my recommendations.:)

Yarn is a no-no, Try cotton string or leather strips.
