Okay well I got my two budgies for christmas, and one i wasnt happy with she was very aggresive and so we took her back but kept the boy. I got a trade in one for my aggresive one and my new one and the boy are great! They absoulutly love eachother. :) But for the past few weeeks the boy gets on my finger then flies right back to his cage he is being a little homebody. Is this normal? Also, my new one i got for the trade in is yello, and i was told she was a girl, but now i am reading that you cant tell when it is yellow. My budgies have a nesting box but they dont even go near it? And also when my budgies are sitting in their jungle gym they make like little talking sounds and they make like they are laughing! What does this mean. I could try and get a video of all the problems i am having, if that would make it easier. Thanks for your help! Dont worry i will have plenty more question! Ohh yea my blue budgie his name is Diesel, and the supposofly girl is yellow and named Bailey. And they also make a screeching noise that is very irritating. And they always do their laughing when i am playing music or watching t.v. and when they are preening eachother. THANKS.!! :lovers: :music: :laughing2: :clown: :giggle: :love2: :budge: :budgie: :party2: :budgie::budgie::budgie::budgie::budgie::budgie:  :) :S

well about diesel getting off your finger... id say its because he has a new friend in with him now :)... im going through the exact same thing with Garry... since i put him and Goliath in the same cage a few days ago... Garry acts like he doesnt even know me ... he prefers to sit and chat with Goliath...lol... just be persistant and patient and reward him whenever he perches on your finger and allows you to move him about... and eventually he will start to trust you again... and bailey will get curious and get into the mix too.. so dont let this small step back turn you down... just think of it as you proving yourself worthy of their flock ;)

and about the breeding...well they only just met so i doubt there will be any breeding right now... and i think maybe Spicky is right... wait awhile befor you try to breed... it might seem like a good idea at the time.. but you may end up with a clutch of 8 eggs and since you dont have any other pairs you probably would end up having to hand rear the much smaller and younger chiks if the parents arnt able to handle the load.. are you ready for that kind of commitment and do you have the time for it??...

and those chirps are normal their just talking to each other... and youll find that they will start to show specific chirps for certain sounds.. and youll soon know what they like and dislike.. my boys love electric blues and rock music and really cheesy love songs lol... they chirp all happy to it.. but if they hear something tehy dont like they actually get agressive hehe.. squaking and going arund the cage like mad... to the point it drives me mad and i chang what im playing... :)

your budgies sound like normal budgies.. so i wouldnt worry.. just love them alot and theyll start to love you back ;)... Goliaths only been here 2 weeks and hes already letting me touch hes cheeks through the bars of the cage.. so trust me.. the wait and effort is worth it!!

The annoying screeching, unfortunately, is very normal for budgies. Its music too their ears, but not necessarily ours...

To deal with it in our house, we simply purchased a cage with wheels on it. Whenever the screeching gets too loud or too annoying, I wheel the entire cage into another room and close the door. That way my budgies can screech their little hearts out without driving us crazy.
