As I've mentioned before, I have, in addition to my budgies, two cockatiels and three Quakers. One tame Quaker, named YMA, and a pair of adult wild Quakers. The adults are actually the parents of Yma.
I have the adult pair in a small aviary in my back yard. About two weeks back, I put up a nest box for them. They immediately started investigating it that same day.
Shortly thereafter, I went to Mexico for a week. Well, today, while working in my back yard, I decided to check the box. Guess what.........there are four eggs in there. If all goes well, I'll have some baby Quakers soon. I already have a waiting list of people who want hand-fed, tame baby Quakers. They are so much fun even though they are so noisy. Yma has started talking and is a constant delight for us.
