ok my little guy is comming along really well.. I've had him just about 2 weeks and he already loves me. :) I let him outta the cage to play in his playground and eat treats.. he loves to follow me around the house too.

what else should I be doing?
do they like to cuddle ever? :S

he gets so excited in the morning ... runs around his cage when I get close.. specially after a long day at work... he knows he is going to come out and play..

what can I do to make him stick with me more? I think he prefers the freedom of running around ..

You are doing great already, just spend a lot of time with him when you arrive home from work. Skyla sits with me whilst I am watching the television lol

thats what I want.. cuz he is so young and gets so excited from millet all he wants to do is run around

He sounds lovely, Edie was like that at first and so was Joey but after a while they calmed down and now they are both hyper during the day till around tea-time and then thats when those 2 will want my company. Skyla is a really relaxed budgie though, she rarely plays with her toys and climbs around the cage she just likes to be out with me all the time. She loves sitting in her food dish though and I dont know why lol.x

Edie and Joey dont like petting I never scratch their heads or stroke them because they will bite me..but Skyla loves it xx

No hes a budgie (parakeet) hes a yellowfaced Dominant pied he is joey, the blue one is Edie my female and if you look in the budgie pictures section you may see one of Skyla too, ahe is a sky blue clear wing shes beautiful. Edie and Joey aint met Skyla yet and I think I will be keeping it this way so I dont know how to get a pic of Skyla with Edie and Joey:S

I want a joey budgie. :D I really want a friend for Sid. he is alone all day from 9am till 7pm (christmas hours).

I usually take him out for half our..then go eat and come back and play with him for another half hour to an hour.. he gets tired then runs/flies to his home(cage)

I had Edie first, thought she was a boy till a few weeks ago, and although she was fine on her own I wanted another I am really glad I did because I got my darling Joey then I got Skyla. they are all in seperate cages though. Edie and Joey are in 2 cages upstairs in a spare room and Skyla is downstairs with me. I let Edie and Joey out to play during the day and they go back in thier own cages when they have had enough. Those 2 are really close but cant be together because they will mate. So I think it will be nice for your budgie to have a friend. You will need to quarantine them though for 3 o days in seperate rooms but this will be good for you because you can carry on your training with Sid and in that time you can bond with your new one. supervise them at first though after the 30 day period so that they get on with eachother.:)
