kissing training

i want to be able to have kiss's from pegs, how can i get him to do this i see that alot of budgies give kiss's how did they start doing it.

When i trained bobby to do that...
I just said, kiss kiss and gave him a kiss.

Since he doesnt bite, it was easy to train him. He figured it out eventually...

But you might wanna get the advice from the smarter ones on this board :D

One thing I am currently working on with Aries (since he seems to be the only one who is interested) is I put him on my finger and start making kissing noises. I hold him about a foot away from me and if he seems interested, I slowly bring him closer and closer to my lips. Sometimes he gets really into it; his beak starting going, he fluffs up his feathers and shakes his head. . . .. I am trying to work on getting him closer to my face so I can "kiss" him.

(Just be careful when kissing your budgie; it's not a good idea to get human saliva on them as it contains all kinds of bacteria. Blech!).

Well I'd love to be able to 'kiss-train' the baby that I'll be keeping, out of Lily's babies, so I'm interested to!

I do the same thing......I say kiss kiss first very softly...then i slowly move in and kiss Saffron.......then I say good girl in my best high pitch birdy voice! Also, I will only say kiss kiss to her when I intend to kiss her.

Well i just loved kissing Blinkie as a baby and he still lets me....although now he's a big boy he doesn't like as many kisses so i get great pleasure about making him suffer through embarrassing kissy torture. :p

My pet budgie Agent gives kisses, he did it automatically lol, one bad thing about kisses is that it can pass on diseases from us to them, therefore i have now taught him to kiss my cheek aswell.
Diseases getting passed over is unlikely but still be careful

Salsa is the only one in my avairy that will kiss, but since she is now in love with Mickey, i've been dumped! lol

I give kisses to Gizmo with my nose. I make the kissy noise and touch my nose to his beak. That way nothing is passed from me to him, but he still thinks I'm kissing him by the noise and the touching.;)
