I took Chiclet to the vet on Friday, on Saturday it was out of the nest in the morning and again today. I put the chick back in the nest and it stays there all day and the parents look after it. They looked concerned when we get the chick and put it back in the nest. It was still in the nest when the cage was covered for the night and still there when I go to bed after midnight.

What might be going on and should I do anything about it?

Just keep putting it back. Some chicks fall out of the nest box or try to leave it early.

It is definitely getting out by itself and the parents try to stop it. At what point do I just let the chick stay out?

Also, what are the steps and procedure the father will take to teach the chicks to fly? I don't want to panic. :) What kind of environment do I need to provide so they can learn to fly and do it safely?

At about 4 weeks you can let it stay out, so in another week and a bit. :) I've never really noticed the dad teaching the to fly. One day they just do it. They crash once or twice and then they're fine.
