New Moderator!

I am pleased to announce we have added another moderator to our staff team here at Talk Budgies. We have been growing a lot lately and we need more coverage so we can all enjoy our time here.

Everyone, let's welcome Robin's Nest (http://talkbudgies.com/member.php?u=5928) to the staff team. She will be moderating the Budgie Talk and Training forums for now. If she does a good job (we're sure she will), she will become a super moderator eventually.

Let's all welcome Robin's Nest to our moderating team. :D

With the way Talk Budgies works, usually you become a moderator, then a super moderator. On some other forums you stay a moderator and never get promoted. You only become an Administrator if you get chosen to be one. :)

All new staff start as moderators of a few forums. If they do a good job, they're promoted to super moderator. Administrators work differently. There's no real way to describe how I choose them without going into too much detail.

As of right now this is how it works. If we were to ever reach a threshold of activity where we needed a lot more staff, we would start doing the system where each forum has its own moderators, then there are super moderators, and finally admins. We haven't reached this level yet, and I'm not sure if we ever would need to implement this.
