Beautiful Snake. She deserves an exotic name for sure.

I am going to try to get better pictures tomorrow, there is no good lighting in my house. But I just got her around 8:30PM tonight -- I have now offically re-homed almost all my animals!

Wow what a stunner!

I love albinos!

Just be careful, I know you have pet rats in your home and the scent of your rats when your python is hungry could trigger a crazy snake even worse if you forget to wash your hands after handling your rats. A bite from a snake like that as an adult could do some horrible damage and it could also kill you if you handle it alone, I'm sure you know all this I'm just giving a heads up. :)

They can get to an adult size of 15-20 feet long, and 100 to 200 pounds or more. O.o

I do know that, and the size is the main reason I even bought a Burmese. I've done my research, if I hadn't I wouldn't own an animal - I don't mean any offense to you, but I swear sometimes I feel like people believe I have no knowledge of animals. I own a BOA as well the same thing can happen to her, but I don't HANDLE my rats, they are in their cage all the time and are fed and handled by my boyfriend because I handle the snakes. My boyfriend in fact doesn't care for snakes - I've always loved snakes, I've been the one who handled them in my family, I rescued snakes, and SNAKES is where my expertise is in the field of adoption.

Rainbow was only trying to be helpful.:) As you are fairly new not everyone knows all about you yet.

But this is not the first time it has happened, I have worked with reptiles (snakes mostly) for about 4 years now - I was raised with snakes, I love and adore snakes. I prefer them over cats, dogs, and the like. Snakes are power and strength all combined into one. I have worked in my sanctuary for 2-years and my AREA of expertise is snakes, and reptiles.

Also, I didn't mean to offend you Rainbow, but I just hate feeling like I am being treated like I am incompetent. Even if that was not your intention - it just makes me feel like that is what you are implying.

I'm very sorry too,

I never knew you had all this experience but now I know.

Sometimes I see people online buying certain animals because they think they are awesome but they never do enough research then that animal ends up being rehomed or not properly cared for. I'm glad you have so much experience and I know you love all your pets dearly, I can't wait to see photos as your Burmese grows. :)

Totally understandable, I just am the type of person who feels -- I don't know, but yeah... sorry for like freaking out. I guess since it is the one thing other then horses I know more about then anything, I kind of feel offended when someone second guesses me. Lol. Unless of course, I know nothing about the subject then I learn from it.
