Dad and Mum. The Opaline Cock I think has a brain tumour. Don't know how long he has if I am right. I am hoping I am wrong.

Very sweet pictures! Thanks for posting those! I was wondering what makes you think your Opaline budgie has a brain tumour? That is so sad...:(

For the last two months every now and again he starts to flapp his wings while laying sideways on the floor. This usually occurs at death. But after half an hour he comes good. Lately he is having trouble with his right foot. At times he can't hold the perch but then it comes good. If it is caused by a stroke it would be perminant but it isn't. It comes and goes, as if something is playing up with his motor functions in his brain.
I might be wrong about the tumour. One of my club members has a bird that when you put it in the breeding cage it has a fit. It doesn't like the size of the cage. He can't sell it becuase it can't stand cages so it lives in the aviary.

Awww. Poor little guy! It makes me sad to hear about things like this. I get so attached to these little featherballs that I hate to hear about anything bad. (Especially since I have had my fair share of stress over one of my budgies, Skyla, who has already had a tumour which required her wing to be amputated).

Very nice budgies. I am sadden by the thought that your budgies might have a brain tumor. I hope this is not the case. Thank you for sharing the pictures.

Dotty :)
