I got my two new budgies today, and the pet shop owner said they didn't have to go into quarantine..i dont know the reason. And when i put all the budgies together, the two new girls seem to be obsessed with my boy, Tommy. He seems to have took a lyking to the new Blue girl, but the albino keeps pushing in between them and he doesn't seem to happy when she does this. Could this cause a fight? Or do you think she'll get the hint soon?
Thanks...Scott:budgie:

I've actually decided for it to be wise if i put them into quarentine because of the bleeding patch on the back of the Albino's head. So i've put them into my spare cage across the room, and they are still squarking to each other, its really cute.
I'm glad you decided to quarantine them! *phew* Especially as they're from a pet shop, the only time i would not quarantine (and i probably still would for a couple of weeks anyway) is if i got them from someone i knew or if they were only birds at someones house and they had been there over a month with no sign of illness. :)

I'm glad to, i was just couldnt keep it off my mind if any of them became sick, so i'm glad i did, dispite what the petshop owner says.

When I got Joey my breeder never mentioned quarantine either I found out on this site so quarantined them straight away..not only was this good for health reasons but it was good because I had time to bond with Joey without Edie and they both got to know eachother after the quarantine and are really friendly now. They are seperate still as I dont want them to mate xxx

That's so great you got to bring them home. And yes, I'm happy that you quarantined them. Good work! :p
