Does anyone else worry too much about their budgies???
Like, I swear I freak out over the littlest things.
Is that just because I'm a newbie at this???
Cuz Gosh, I just know im driving you guys crazy :D :p
I worry like crazy about Blinks. I won't go to bed at night unless he gives me a goodnight kiss through the cage bars incase i wake up and he's dead.

The only way you are going to learn anything about your budgies or anything in life is to ask questions.
Don't think that you are being a pain becos no question is too small or not important they are all good questions so keeping on asking

It is completely normal to worry about the little fellows, especially when you are new. I have had budgies for almost 7 years now and I still worry about the little sweetie pies. Avril is right, the only way to learn is to ask questions. So, ask away!!
Yes, I don't know about other people, but I love answering questions!
I do worry sometimes. For example, a few days ago Kansas was doing some weird motion with her neck (like a very aggressive regurgitation). Shane did this right before he died. So all day I couldn't concentrate. I was too bust worrying about whether or not Kansas would be alive when I got home! Luckily she survived and she's doing fine.
Oh good! I'm glad she's still alive!

I think it is only natural to worry when you first get any pet. In time, you will become more aware of your bird's habits and won't worry so much. One way to help relieve the worry IS to ask questions. We all had to start at some time and most, if not all, have had a lot of questions at first. Just don't fret too much and all will be well.
Another help might be to get a good book on budgies. Aside from normally having lots of beautiful photos, you'll find lots of good, basic information. I'm sure your local library will have some good bird books. Or, check eBay.

Good point Tom. It's true that as you get more used to your budgies and their habits you'll worry a lot less about them. With our parrotlet, Sam, we've had him for eight years and I never really worry about whether he's getting hurt playing with his bells or whatnot during the day. He knows his limits so we can trust him.
