today i finally pursuaded my mum to give me some money to get a nesting box and some bedding for it!!!!!!!!!:eek: :eek: :eek: :D :D i cant believe she let me buy one whoot!!!anyways my mum says that they will go in it no matter where in there cage it is.but i think that they have more chance of going in it if its up higher.who is right?also will they go in on there own or do i have to tempt them in with millet or something?

I don't think you will need to tempt them with millet, but why not.

I have my nest box sitting on the bottom of the cage but the parents are the only two in the cage. But this is a cage not an aviary.

some people swear by high, but i just plop mine on the bottom & have never had one not use it! they hop right in if they are ready!
and you wont need to tempt them, they will use it if they are ready for bubs!

ok thanks im a bit embarested to say this but:o i dont know if they are male and female:o !charlie has got not many but a few grey spots on his orange cheek patch but sally his got like a lot of grey its like a thin curtain of grey over hers do u think charlie is a boy.

Ok, well to me it sounds like you need to do some research. Do you even know how old they are? And is your mum prepared to go to an avian vet with you if something happens? No point bringing lots of babies into the world if they aren't going to get the care they require. To get them sexed for sure you have to go to an avian vet to get them DNA sexed.

I know how to sex cockatiels I breed them, the easyest way to tell is when the are ready to breed the male will have very very bright orange cheeks and the female will remain the same.
