well not for a while but i have a rabbit and sadly she is old...she will obviously die soon and i am sad buit when she dies i am going to convince my mom to let me get at least one budgie. if i get two i want a female lutino and i want to name her Arabella and call her bella for short. for my second one i would want a sky blue spangled male and i would name him Des
i want my birds to look like this:

Yeah i was looking at it but I thought it was just me that it didn't look like a budgie.....I would change it but there's no way of me doing that
It doesn't look that different. I mean someone who doesn't have a budgie herself wouldn't notice. Only people who actually know would know that parkeets were named after their long tails...And the beak is a little different but not too much different....
I think she did a good job on picking out the mutations though....you got to give her props for that:thumbsup:

Those are Very Pretty Colors even though the First one wasnt a Budgie its ok. You will learn with time :) I think mainly you were just trying to show us the colors anyways. I hope you will be able to get a Budgie soon enough.
Im sorry to hear about your bunny though...I also have a Bunny his name is Turbo and he is a Lionhead Rabbit he is my baby....
I dont think Bea was trying to poke fun, I think she was just pointing out that the bird was not a Budgie. BTW :)

I think those colours would look awesome, and the names are very unique.
I agree with bird_luver24, i dont think bea was meaning what she said ina bad way, i think she was just giving you a heads up that the first pic isnta budgie.
Thats no problem however since she never has had a budgie i dont think , i mean its very understandible. i could of even made that mistake.
Anyway goodluck on getting a budgie, im sorrey about your rabbit aswell.. im sure we all wish animals could live forever.. aswell as humans..

Bea, that wasn't really nice to Megan. She doesn't have a bird, so she doesn't know the difference between them. You shouldn't be so hard on her. At least she knows what a lutino is, I mean, she's really good with the colors. Just because she doesn't have a bird, or mistook it for another bird, doesn't mean you can blame her about it. Megan's my best friend..I've known her since middle school started (we go to the same school.) And she's dying to get a bird. Just don't be as hard on her. I'm sure she's trying to be her best.
Bea wasn't blaming anyone for anything. Megan is doing a great job on here, and I hope she does get a bird! All Bea said was that's not a budgie. I'm sure she didn't mean to upset anyone, she was just saying the truth!

well, i kinda new i wasnt a budgie. but on google they didnt have any lutino budgie pics they only have lutinos in general so i put it there to show the color. i was waitin for someone to notice...hehe

Around here I have seen budgies go for 20 to 30 dollars, 25 seems to be the most common price.
Well, maybe Sweetii_Babii_xox (http://www.talkbudgies.com/member.php?u=690) lives, they are. They are here at some places.

My Skyla who is a clearwing was the same price, Edie is a normal and she was the same price, depends where you live doesn't it. I want to ask Zarrion how much they are in Wales but Pets@home will prob be the same price throughout uk i would imagine xx
I shop at Pets At Home as well! Lily was £18 and Billy was £16. I got them at the same time. :) I got Dusty and Misty there too.
I got Skye for $19 from a garden center in Kent. I also got Bobby there for the same price, which I think was silly as he was critically ill. :( They got an RSPCA person to inspect them and all staff in the pets area have now been trained to spot ill birds and other animals, and quarantine them.

Yeah, But I was talking about Lily. She's albino, hence she costed more.

i refuse to get budgies from petstore... unless i saw an albino lol i want an albino so bad i dont care where it came from. i got one budgie froma petstore and 2 other froma breeder and they were handtamed fro 20$ it was good price considering that at petstores hand tamed birds are $100+ ... except i got my first 2 budgies about 6 or 7 years ago :) and is till have the breeders info so when i get my new birds im gunna get them from the same breeder. :D
and where i live the 'Fancy' birds are like 5 bux more in petstores. and breeders ther usually all the same price.

i have a quick question about lutinos... do they have to have red eyes? may be a stupid question... I have an all yellow but he has black eyes.

Yeah lutinos have red eyes. I actually don't know if they can have black eyes, because I never saw one. I'll try to get you a certan answer

If they have black eyes, like Spazz, then they are dark eyed clears. :)

Go to a breeder and they shouldn't (actually pet stores around here don't generally charge more). I think it's completely silly to charge more for certain mutations and especially ones like inos and pieds because they're as easy to breed as any other, lol.

ya i geuss maybe they think ther rarer or sumthing. The petstore where i live dont sell many fancy birds... i went a petstore on the weekend they were all normal green budgies and had one normal blue budgie. and that was it they usually have atleast one fancy budgie... but geuss not this time.

Yes I thought it looked like a weird budgie...:PThe second one is also not a Spangle thats a Sky Blue Normal...;)

I would like to have a lutino one day, they're amazing but I think my next budgie (if I get another) would be a recessive peid, but their kinda hard to find around here in pet stores =\
And our closest aviary is about 100 miles away, in the New York state :( and I'm on the island.
