I don't know if it is, but I personally don't eat canned vegetable myself. I feed myself fresh or frozen. An advantage to using frozen is that you can do just enough for your bird/s instead of wasting a whole can. Frozen vegetables are easy to do, I just put some in a dish pour on boiling water then strain the water off. When the vegetables have cooled to room temp I give it to my birds.

I would hesitate to feed my budgies canned veggies as the sodium content is generally fairly high in those kinds of foods. Frozen is great since as pal0m1n0 said, you can do just enough for your budgies...;)

I agree Budgiekin, I would also hesitate to feed Canned Anything to my birds considering they usually do have a VERY high Sodium Content and they are high in other Preservatives. :)

Sometimes you can get canned veggies with no added salt, i expect those would be ok.

Some one told me as long as they were rinsed with water and fed unoften than it was fine, because of teh salt in them. I ran out of veggies today thats why I needed them...they didn't like them anyways Blue took one bite:p
