Budgie Behavior?

When I hold Bert on my finger and talk to him he looks at me and listens for the most part, but sometimes he opens his mouth, a bit wider than when he's yawning.

Also, when I hold Elmo she bobs her head up and down.

Does anyone know what this means?

Bobbing the head indicates the budgie's happiness. when they bob their head at something, it means they really like it or are trying to imppress. So i guess Elmo is really in love with you! :D
Sometimes budgies open their beaks wider but it still looks like yawn. It is completely normal. Believe it or not, sometimes they do that to pop their ears just like we do.

I agree,I've never seen a female do the head bob. I once read that the "yawning" thing means that they are relaxed.

usually when they bob their heads while opening their mouths wide that means they really really like you. My bird has only done that once. Also if he regurgitates on you that means it reallly really really really likes you. When you have two budgies together, regurgitating is a sign of affection!!:D:D

Actually there were many good points, I haven't seen my female do that yet. :S:)
