Hello!

For the past week or so, I have been wondering whether albino budgies, like Lily have light sensitive eyes.

I think it seems to be the case, because when I turn their room's light off, Lily goes and sits on another perch, more closer to where the light was, when it was on.

I was just wondering, because other specimens of albinos, including humans are light sensitive.

I've not noticed it in particular and they wouldn't be drawn to the light, if it were bright and they were light sensitive they would draw away from it. :p

No, I mean the opposite, when the light is off, she moves, when it's on, she is as far away as she can get.

I now have a lutino and she has red/pink eyes same as albino. She doesn't seem to be sensitive to the light at all. She actually seems to like it. I don't think they are sensitive to light.

Amy I have read before they are light sensitive. They will move away from the bright lights. Some say this is the reason some of them are a little more "cranky".

I have one albino & 1 lutino, they are always in the shade under the patio, so i dont know if they are sensitive or not.

hope that helps
