well my friends bird kisses but he just learned it nutrally...i was wondering if your bird never kisses you how do you teach it to?:budgie:

It's not actually the best thing to kiss your bird - lots of bacteria in the human mouth so i would say if your bird doesn't kiss, that would be a good thing. Because if they do it's damn difficult to resist the urge to give 'em a kiss, lol. :P

well, bea, it was accoually kissing my cheak i dint really kiss it with my mouth. it was taping its beak against my cheek but not in a peaking manner...like if you saw it you would be able to tell it was kissing my cheek

ha to make your bird kiss you well not make ask them is just kiss they right beside there neck and kiss them let them see you kiss them and continue it often

I always kiss my budgie on his belly cause' it's soft. :) He doesn't kiss me back. Today he was biting my finger and I went to give him a kiss and he bit my nose! lol It was funny.:P

I kiss my husband and children on the mouth all of the time, and we all have bacteria and we are all still alive, so I'm not too concerned about the "germ thing" when it comes to kissing my Budgies. :D

I bought my first two Budgies at the same time and my friendlier Budgie who will hop on my finger and talk the most, will NOT kiss me. He flies away if I try to kiss him. :S

My other Budgie though, who will not hop on my finger by choice (unless he wants me to feed him by hand) will give me kisses on his own. Go figure! I do though, say, "KISSES?" and lean my mouth towards his beak (and make the kissing sound) and he kisses me back. It's so cute and I just love it. It's such a neat feeling to have your Budgie kiss you. :o

Every Budgie is different. Some will kiss and some won't. Have fun!

Harry was so proud of his appearance he wouldn't allow kisses or ruffling of his feather's :cool1: but I used to make a kissing sound to him and he mimmicked this perfectly, sounded soo funny when he did this back to me :)
