After the amazing success of Talk Budgie's Next Top Model, we're back better than before! :D

Introducing our new series ALL BIRD'S NEXT TOP MODEL!

Now basically this season will follow the same layout as last seasons :) The same rules will apply and it will be set out in the same format :) Here are Talk Budgie's Next Top Model threads, so you know what the compeititon will be like :)

The only difference will be that, this competition will not only be for budgies :) All Bird's Next Top Model is a modelling competition for ALL BIRDS! :D Every species, from Macaws to Conures and Cockatiels to Budgies will be accepted! :D

And, this season's challenges will be harder than before :evil:

I am also proud to announce that our three amazing judges will be back too! :D And they of course are Pippin's Mom., clifff123 and softie :)

I have just contacted fullmetalgirl now, so hopefully she'll also be back as my partner in crime :D

Closing Date: We will stop taking entries in on the 2ND OF DECEMBER so be quick! :D

Only ONE entry per person please :)

Well we may start after Christmas. We aren't sure :cool: I'm just worried that if we start it now, people will be too busy to send in good photos :cool:

What do you guys all think? Now or after Christmas? :)

BTW, thank you all for your entries. In the past few days we've had around 20 entries which is awesome! :D But keep on sending those entries in, I am craving for more :D

So far we've had a few parrots, a lovebird, two cockatiels and a handful of budgies! :D

Becky~ It isn't necessarily about the quality of the photo..we judges look for various things that make a photo special.:) So you have just as much of a chance to win as anyone else.:)

I would say after Christmas, some people will be busy before with the holidays, shopping and visiting family. People will have more time to get that perfect picture after the holidays!!!

A MACAW!?
Coacoa is not feeling discouraged, he thinks there's no way he'd ever beat a macaw no matter how handsome he is. Poor baby went into his happy hut and has been in there for a while :(

Can we start after christmas? i have to go to brazil to visit family :(

I vote for AFTER Christmas! I don't think it would be too long at all and actually the comp. would probably get better results. I know for myself the entire month of December up to Christmas is blitzed...lots happening! And I imagine its probably like that for others too. Not to mention that we already have three things going on here on Talk Budgies.. two Christmas competitions and the Secret Santa. So far there hasn't been any entries for the cage decorating contest.. I thought members would be all over that and only a hand full of entries for the photo shop comp. I think this is why there hasn't been any Budgie of the month..lack of interest and entries.:(

So just saying that if everyone enjoys these competitions and want to keep them around..PARTICIPATE!:D

Don't be discouraged by the Macaw :) Even if the Macaw makes it, its not just about the bird. It is also about the poses and creativity of the shot :)

If we end up starting before Christmas, and you're accepted, I'll make sure we work something out :)

I will have a talk with fullmetalgirl and our three judges and we'll come up with a decision :) I'll let you all know shortly :)

I think after Christmas sounds better for most people. I know myself before Christmas is just hectic for the lead up and there's so much going on... working more, trying to find presents in spare time, generally running around like a mad thing. :P And after Christmas, most people have a few days off to recover and relax. :)

It sucks because it's a long wait, but if the truth be told, the time will fly anyway because of the busy-ness (is that a word?!)

I vote for after Christmas. It really will be hectic this December. I know I will have to put in more hours at work because this is our busiest time of the year.

If you have the competition before Christmas, then not many people will be able to submit a photo every week for the task. It will likely be rushed and things will suddenly become a chore instead of being fun.

However, if it is held after Christmas then everyone will still be able to participate. Things won't be rushed and it will be excellent to see everyone participate. The only negative with this option is that people will have to wait an extra month for the competition to begin.

Isn't waiting an extra month and having an awesome competition better than rushing things and only having a decent competition? I would hate to see people "dropping out" all the time because they can't make the deadline.

Being impatient shouldn't prevent All Birds Next Top Model from being a great competition. ;) At least that's my thoughts on this.

OK Ladies and Gentlemen, we've reached a decision! :D

All Bird's Next Top Model will be held AFTER Christmas and New Years :) As for the exact date, that is undecided yet as I'm travelling up the coast for a week :)

As sson as we get an exact date, I'll inform you all straight away :)

But until then, continue sending your entries in until the deadline :) Then once we've decided who's in, I'll post another thread straight away :)
