Is it normal for your budgie to try to bit their ankle bracelet off??????


Cuz bobby is trying to...
How do i stop this behavior?

what are ankle bracelets? are they supposed to come on your budgie? cuz if so mine didn't have have any. . . .

Kansas has one. I've never seen her even pick at it though, except when she's preening herself sometimes. So I'd imagine they normally don't do that. But Kanny's our only budgie who has had a bracelet.

If your budgie continues to pick at the ankle band, you may want consider removing it as you wouldn't want Bobby to injure himself from picking at it.

Some of my budgies have split rings which i put on them so i could tell them apart from some of my other budgies. They fiddled with them at first but then got used to them.

I can see why you would like to keep the ring on Bea; you've got so many budgies that you need to be able to keep track of them!! In Brittany's case, she's only got one budgie so it might be better to have it removed. She can keep the ring as a souvenir if she likes too. :p

I don't know. Still babies though. They're tiny! Especially blueberry, she's so small! But they're so cute! They're not chirping anymore. But whatever, they don't have to. :)
