does anyones bird trust them enough to lay their bird on his back ? or hold out their wings for them to clip them ? or does anyones play games with them ? I'm trying to figure out if my budgie will ever be able to do these things or not, i made a mistake by not buying a hand raised bird, dont get me wrong i love my little guy and hes great, but if he already knows hes a bird and hes happy being a bird i dont want him to tr and be my little human birdy friend, i was at a breeder over the weekend who had the most amazing animals, her daughters love bird plays dead. If you say to the bird "time to clip your wings" He'll hold out his wing for a small clip, he can fly around the room just fine, the clip they give him is more of training tool, they sue him to train the other birds they have, it is truly AMAZING.

i was interested to know if any of you guys have birds like this.

My budgie Griffin actually does play fetch :) He has an obsession with yellow highlighter caps- he just loves the darn things. Basically I can toss it a short distance- either onto my bed, or onto my desk and he will pick it up in his beak, and then fly with it onto my head. Usually he is pretty good about tossing it into my hands if I put them up to my head- but sometimes he gets excited and just throws it off the side of my head!

my birdie plays soccer...he flips over and holds the ball with his legs before letting it go and running after it. but he only does this when he thinks I'm not looking, the naughty little chomper ;)
