Our new baby...pics!!!

This is our newest little guy...My mom named him Haldir from the movie lord of the rings but I'm not too fond of it...But it's her bird so whatever...lol.
Anyway he is such a fast learner! As soon as he found out that step-up meant to go on your hand, he does it pretty good! We only got him today too...We got him at Petland where they have them in a huge aquarium type thing and you're encouraged to hold the ones you want to adopt...WELL...Some stupid kid today went up to the "cage" and snatched up poor Haldir! He was so scared and the kid was complaining that it was biting him...So I gave him deep crap for holding the budgies like that...Didn't even go near me again...bwahahaha...Anywys...lol

Geez! Leave them on the window sill for 20 mins and they make a mess out of it...LOL...I also had the other birds out for a while too but they went back into their cage.

Awe, Haldir is soooooooooo cute!!!! :D I love his color. They don't get any cuter than that.

Also, I got a real "kick" out of the photo that you posted on photobucket. What a cute pose by all 3 of your Budgies.

Thanks!!! :D What's the difference between English budgies and normal budgies? Are they just bigger? lol My mom just decided she didn't want to call him haldir...ugh...lol:o She going more towards Glorfindel now...personally i like that name much better ;)

I loved lord of the rings. I started reading it when I was young and couldn't put it down. Trouble was I should have been studying for my exams just a few days later. :( What about calling it Gandalf or Stryder?

I thought the movie versions by Peter Jackson were incredibly spectacular.

LOTR fan? I named my 1st 2 budgies Merry & Pippin. Except no one got it, & they thought I was strange for naming a boy "Mary." So I had to spell his name every time I introduced him to someone. :rolleyes:

Anyways, I'm not too big of a LOTR fan, myself. I've never read the books, & I only half understand the movies. I just thought the names were cool. :cool:

I found the movie helped clear up a lot of the confusing things from the books. Considering that the movies came out about 25 to 30 years after I read the books that wasn't bad. :)

For some reason my mom didn't like gandalf :o and our dog's name is Strider...teehee :D
I actually named one of my budgies Pippin but he managed to fly out of his cage and our dog just happened to be standing at the door and the dog grabbed him...killed him almost immediately...Just kind of the wrong place at the wrong time I guess...That was about 2 years ago or so...I only had him for about 2-2.5 months too. I was really sad :(
But he'll always be in my heart...<3 :)

English Budgies yes are much bigger and are (beautiful) To me and take on a grumpy old look when bigger sometimes they die early due to inbreeding...the colors on them are AMZING and some colros are only found in english budgies well most common but thier could be normal budgies with that color (e.g Fallow)
