We bought a new budgie today. He's a hand-fed budgie, which is something we've never gotten before. It's great that he's already used to our hands, as the rest of our birds trained for months to accomplish that. :D His name is Azzy (pronounced like Ozzy), which is short for Azul. We wanted to name him Blue because of his blue chest, but it seemed plain, so we decided to go with the Spanish translation of blue, which is azul.

I'll try to get some pictures up tomorrow. :D

Hi Dave!

Congrats on your new hand fed baby. They are great! I have two hand fed and they is such loves! Where did you find a hand fed baby around this area. It is so hard. We were looking everywhere to find one locally. The lady I got my Nubbers from is pregnant so is not breeding right now. And the bird store I got my newest Ecko from will no longer be breeding them. My friend is looking for a handfed baby that is why I am asking incase your wondering. ;)

We went to our bird store last night, and they had a few hand fed budgies for sale (separate from the regular budgies). I'll try to get some pictures up later.

I want a hand fed baby budgie! :loveeyes: I didn't realise that you could get them, I wonder if you can in the UK? I still miss Harry so much and have cried so many tears for him, (and still do) I'm sure that you will all know how that feels, but I need to fill the void that he's left :sad3: I hand fed baby budgie sounds irresitable!

Thats great! I'll be looking soon for another! Same colors as yours, but more baby blue around the body and a very dark blue cere to make sure its a boy to even out the sexest. I've got 3 females, 1 males and one males that likes other males, so dose not help out with the females. I wish I could get one thats already hand tamed. I've already got enough on my plate with a love bird that needs alot of work! Lets us know how he progress with you
