i think my budgie tweety might be sick i dont no what to do could it be that they are bothering her and biting her is that what it can be i dont no she is always fluffed up she feels skinny?? i dopnt no what top do??:(
I'd separate them incase she is ill and to stop he being bullied (if she is.)
Keep her in a warm room and take her to an avain vet if you think she is ill.
I hope she gets better soon! Get well soon Tweety!

when i saw tweety at the pet store she looked healthy it is when i took her home i didnt think she looked good so i went back to the pet store and the man said no she cant be sick but i thought maybe he is rite and shes been like this ever since i got her i am worried now becasuse i am scared she might die and i dont want to loose her if there is anything i cxan do to make her better on her own i would rather do that than not do nothing what can i do??
Go to an avain vet and she/he might suggest what to do.

does anyone ever cure a bird that was sick what can i do??
For a safe cure ask an avain vet.:)
Tea might be a cure, I'm not sure but I think it is.
I hope she's looking better soon.

do i need to keep her warm or something and what would i do with the tea?
Yes keep her in a warm room and maybe put a hot water bottle next to her cage.
To give her the tea get a big drop on your finger and let her sip it off.
Thanks Dave for that tip!

I am sorry to hear about your little Tweety. It is never fun to have a potentially sick bird.
What do her droppings look like Jonathan? Are they runny? Are they still formed? Are they the same size as your other budgies' droppings? Or are they really small? Does it look like there is undigested seed in them?
When you say she is fluffed up, is this all the time? Does she have any blood anywhere on her feathers? Is she eating? Is she at all active? Is she staying on the bottom of her cage?
I have read that it is not safe to give your budgie tea, so perhaps you would want to stay away from that. If you want to give her some kind of fluid, try giving her diluted pedialyte. This drink (used for infants) contains electrolytes (sodium and potassium) to help hydrate her and maintain her fluid balance.
Certainly keep her warm. Also, if you can, you will want to provide some humidity for her. You can do this by putting her in the bathroom while you shower. The humidity from your shower may help her feel more comfortable.
If you think she is sick at all Jonathan, I plead to you to bring her to an avian vet. Many illnesses cannot be treated with home remedies. If she has a parasite or worms, bacterial or fungal infection, this can be fatal if not given proper medication. Illnesses in birds can be very complicated, much like illness in people. We can't often treat ourselves, just like we can't often treat our own birds.
Is there a reason you would not bring her to an avian vet? Is it that your parents aren't supportive of providing her with that kind of care? (I am saying that because I am assuming that you are young).
If you need to find an avian vet in your area, you can see what is available by going to this website:
http://www.aav.org/vet-lookup/
I wish you luck Jonathan. And please reconsider getting her to a vet.

Vet visits for budgies don't have to be that expensive. If she has an easily treatable illness, it won't cost that much. However, the longer you wait, the more she will deteriorate. :(

i am getting a new cage for her on her own if i dont see that she is getting better with heat i will take =her to a vet hopefully. but are there anymore things that i can cure her with?
Don't boil her, just keep her in a moderately warm room and you could even let her have a fly about to excercise her wings.
Could you post a pic of her looking ill so I can see if there is anything else?

Have you tried giving your sweetie diluted pedialyte? (It is sort of like Gatorade-type drinks, but much less sugary). That would at least keep your budgie hydrated and replenish the electrolytes. It won't help her illness, but it will keep her hydrated.

i will try that but how would i give it to her?? do you no something that might help her illness??
Budgiekin

You can choose from a couple of different options to give her some diluted pedialyte:
1. Wash your hands thoroughly and place a few droplets on your finger so she can sip it off your finger.
2. Put some in her water cup and hope she drinks from it.
As far as helping her illness, without knowing what it is (diagnosing it), there isn't really anything you could give her that would make her all better. :(

what do budgies usually get though could it be just her the way she is could it just be that she isnt really active or does it need to be an illness because ever since i got her i notice something weird about her and i got her a while ago she can make it that long if she had an illness??

Budgies are all different. Some are very active, climbing, flapping, chewing all the time etc. Other budgies really aren't that active (I like to call those ones perch potatoes).
As far as illness that can "cure" themselves, I don't know of any myself. That's not to say it couldn't happen. It is possible that she just has a different disposition (or personality) than your other budgies. :p

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your little budgie Tweety. It is not easy to lose a budgie as I know from my own experience. Just picture Tweety flying free in a happy and peaceful place. My thoughts are with you.
