hi i was wondering if anybody can help me ive got a hen bird who is in the nest box all the time but she never has any eggs ,but over the past few weeks i have noticed that she has a lump near her back end by her right leg the lump is soft and she doesnt seem to be in any kind of pain or diffecullty getting about any body out help me

The lump could be anything...my friend's quaker parakeet used to have a one that sounded a little bit similar to your description but it turned out to be a tumor. Just don't get discouraged because for all we know she might be ready to lay an egg!

Personally i think a quick trip to your avian vet would be could. As BirdieBabi said it could be a tumour, it could be an egg, it could be a rupture. None of us can say for sure but it's something that should be figuired out sooner rather than later. :)
