Hi guys,

I read many places that said to have either a cuttlebone OR a mineral block. However, I have also read that you need both.

Would a cuttlebone do or do I need to provide my birdie with a mineral block as well?

Well in my local pet store they say to get both! I found when I had budgies that they would use the cuttle bone a little more but with my cockatiel it's the opposite. :)

But I suppose as long you have a cuttle bone it should be fine. ;)

Mineral blocks are important - the offer other minerals as well. You can get 2 in 1 mineral block/cuttle bone so i think that's a good way to go.

Sometimes you may only find them in the big pet stores like Pets At Home if your local pet shop doesn't provide them.
