This is the thread you've all been waiting for!:b-day: The one where I announce Talk Budgies Next Top Model! :party3: So who will win, the adorable cute little MOUSE or the fruity budgie who loves to TANGO? :dunno::giggle:

The winner will be announced soon, but before I do, I have a little speech to give :ot: Don't worry, it won't go too long :D

I remember months and months ago :sleeping: I announced that I would be creating another Talk Budgies Next Top Model, after the success of the last one. The day after that announcement, I received a new private message from fullmetalgirl :)

She asked me if she could help out in anyway with the competition. I happily accepted :D and soon we began planning what turned out to be a magnificent event. We layed out our ideas and put them together to create this competition :)

Although it didn't happen overnight :nono: Fullmetalgirl and I were planning for months, sending eachother messages daily, always improving the competition and thinking of new challenges. Finally when all was ready I began accepting entries, and both her and I were blown away at the dozens and dozens of entries we received! :eek:

But our success didn't stop there :cheers: Over the weeks of the competition, its popularity grew and grew and was never ending. In total, around 740 posts were made in reply to our threads and they were viewed about 8100 times! :b-day::party2:

We are both still in complete shock at how well this competition has done! I honestly thought it would be a disaster, because of the new layout, but thank god it wasn't! All our hard work paid off but it is because of the following people's efforts that we've done so well :)

What a gorgeous budgie model you are~! I've loved and admired your photos throughout the competition~! Well done, and well deserved....

Mouse is not the least bit sad.... He feels honored to have gotten all the way to the finals~!
He is still a baby, afterall~! Joined the competition before he was even weaned~!! That's pretty impressive~! To have won the competition before his first moult would have been quite the feat~! Besides, i think there are some child-labor-laws that would have been tough to work around as a full time model~! And it would have cut into his playtime a little too much~!

But i think that a true "Top Model" winner needs a little bit more experience and Mouse sure has A LOT of living to do~! If it were "Talk Budgie Next Top Baby Model" or "Talk Budgies Next Top Cutie" (or something along those lines) i think he would have been a shoe-in~! LoL~!
Perhaps in a year or two he will be ready.... and when that time comes.... WATCH OUT modelling world....

Now Mouse has a budgie to look up to and aspire to be like some day in Tango~!
(I don't have the heart to tell him he will not grow up to be a fluffy English budgie, :o )

Well I have to start off with a huge special thank you to Budgietom and Fullmetalgirl for this awesome competition!:D :clap: The two of you did a supurb job on the lay out and production and I have to say so far in my time being on Talk Budgies this has been my top FAVORITE comp.! Pitchi, I can't believe it was you who got evicted in the semi finals and not me! :dunno: Pitchi is a beautiful model, and your pictures were so artful and creative! Pitchi, don't let this get you down, making it to the final three is a HUGE accomplishment that very few others made. You are still one of the top models out there! :D I loved seeing your pictures each week, they were always incredible! :speechless-smiley-0 :) I especially loved your entries for the "Fine Dining" with the sophisticated props and setting and the "Best Friend" category with Pitchi kissing you! :love2: You were the one that made us all raise the bar and include fitting backgrounds in our entries! :)

Acudogmama, you and Mouse shone brightly throughout the entire competition! :D I think that many of us members on TB can agree that mouse is just the cutest little guy we've ever seen! :loveeyes: I remember when I was a member of the public, I was thinking, " Even if I do make the cut to become a contestant, how is Tango ever going to win if he's running against the adorable little Mouse?" :eek: :) All of your entries were simply brilliant: Mouse looking cool in his car, Mouse in heaven among all those colorful toys, Mouse looking like just the cutest puffball in the world sitting on top of his broccoli (my favorite :D), Mouse sleeping like a little angel... they were ALL incredible! :D And your video was just too cute and funny! :laughing: It totally showed Mouse's personality, in a way that sometimes pictures can't. :)

I am very glad to hear that Mouse is not letting this get his spirits down! He is one of the most optimistic baby budgies out there! I don't think I would have the persistence to try to make friend with a budgie after I get turned down a few times! :XD: But I know he will prevail - Puppy will not be able to resist the pure cuteness much longer! :D
