K well my two new budgies are a male and female. I got them from one of my friends and hes had them for a year and somehting now. The female is pretty fat and the two birds are always kissing each other. Now i put in some cudle bone for her and she goes nuts for it. I have put in only one and its been 2 days and its almost gone. Could this be a sign. What should i look out for if she is ?
Plz and thank you
How old are they. Just because they may show signs of wanting to breed doesn't mean they should be allowed. Many hens like chewing and i assure you that a cuttlebone never lasts long in the aviary, the hens shred it. In two days your hen won't have eaten the whole thing (that would make her sick) but just grinded her beak on it so much that it's just about worn down. Signs that a hen is gravid (i think that's the bird would for pregnant) is a swollen bottom (area around base of tail/vent) and increase in size of droppings.

Well she seems like a big birds and these birds are a year and a half old. Her feet seem to get hot out of know where and it seems like its a little swollen. I already checked and stuff that they should be at least a year old and the two birds have eben together alll there lives
