sometimes she hunches over.....=(

my skye is a wonderful budgie. its just that sometimes, like once a week maybe, she'll be on her perch and lean over. she stops after a couple minutes. i worry about it, sometimes, very rarley, she fluffs up her feathers. but then every time after that shes perfect, her normal ole self again. can anyone tell me what to do??:(

I don't think that behaviour is cause for concern. I call that posture the "vulture pose" when my budgies do it because they look all hunched over and ready to pounce on something. It is also normal for budgies to occasionally fluff up their feathers (like shake them off).

However, if you are concerned, a visit to a vet couldn't hurt. But like I said, it doesn't sound like there is anything wrong (especially if you aren't noticing other signs of illness, like lack of appetite, fatigue, runny droppings, discharge from the nares.......etc). ;)

yerh i agree with budgiekin there...

its not a problem at all... my bluey does it! i got worried after awhile jst like you.. but it was nothing.. my leans over and then looks like shes gna fall... lol
