Ernie loves to drop some of his toys from the top of the cage to the floor. He walks to the edge of the cageand either drops them or pushes them over. When they hit the floor with a noise, he cocks his head and runs away. I'll pick them up and we start the process all over again. Sometimes he'll drop the toliet paper tube. This will go on for several minutes. I don't know if he's playing with me or if he doesn't like the toys and he's getting rid of them.

That's a cute story you shared with us 1scifi1.

Isn't it funny what our Budgies do? I do the same thing with my 3 Budgies. I place a bunch of small items in a glass bowl on the floor and they pull them out, one by one and drop them on the floor. As soon as the bowl is empty, I begin picking all of the toys up and place them back in the bowl. My Budgies just stand there and wait because they know that we have a good game going on. This session can last a few minutes, as you say. I don't think it's that our Budgies don't like the toys, it's just that they like to play with us and they can be compared to a little baby that does the same thing with his parents. The baby drops the baby bottle and the parents pick it up. Of course the baby has to drop it again, and again, and again. It never happens just once, ha! They know they have a fun thing going on. :D

I'm glad you are having so much fun with your little guy. I sure am!

My boy Blinks likes that too, he loves watching me pick his toys up and put them back ready for him to throw off all over again. :p
