Help! Sick Budgie!!!

This morning I noticed one of my keets was puffed up, lathargic and his belly was swollen.
He's about 6 yrs old, usually healthy and vibrant. I think it may be too late for a vet. He seems pretty bad.
Anyone know what this may be?

Please get him to a vet A.S.A. P tehre should be no questioning when that ill....you cannot treat taht at home get him to a vet please:(

Age 6 is fairly old for the average budgie. If he is exhibiting those signs (i.e. lethargic, fluffed up etc), then you most certainly need to bring him to an avian vet. I would hate to hazard a guess with what could be wrong. It could be anything, including fatty liver disease, a tumour.....

Please keep us updated with how your little guy is doing. I hope he is okay. I will keep my fingers crossed for you and your little sweetheart. ;)

I pray that your little boy is going to be fine. If you can get him to see an Avian vet it really is essential, it is never 'too late' to take them as the vet can decide whether medication could help him through this or at least ensure that the little fellow isn't in pain and suffering.
My heart goes out to you both and I pray that he comes through this.

Did you take him to an avian vet? Six really isn't that old for a budgie, many live into their teens with a healthy diet and lifestyle. I hope your little guy gets better.

o no, the poor dear.... Like everyone has been saying... get him to a vet right away if possible, they way he is acting he might not last long D;
