OK so iv never really thought to join a bird forum, iv had birds for many years a passion i think that was inspired by my grandad, any way ill post an intro later but at the moment i really need some help

i have a blue pied budgie who i feaar may not survive the rest of the night, i went to start getting ready for bed at about 2 am, looked over at Mikos cage and didnt see him, so i went over to check he was in, as i have a habit of leaving his door open, and he was in a heap on the bottom, i imeadiatly grabbed him out and he didnt move, he was all floppy and light and i feared the worst, but i felt there was something left, i sat on my bed with him for about 10 mins telling him to wake up and he eventually opened an eye at me, he just wants to curl up, he can still grip with his feet but not very strog, he tried a step up on to my figer and promptly did a rolly polly off, he was perfectly fine this after noon when i was sat with him, he was flying round and squarking at me i just dont know what to do for him, its almost half past 5 in the morning at the moment and im just sat with him on my lap on a heat pad as he was sneezing that seems to have stopped now but i dont know if its the warmth or that hes loosing strenght, he does keep twitching and i keep waking him up just to make sure, i know im a mean mean mum. i just dont know what i will do if i loose him, i have lost too many pets this year allready, please any help will be greatly apreciated

im going to try get my parents to drive me to the emergancy clinic at 7am

I'm so sorry this is happening. :(It doesn't sound good and I'm afraid he might not make it if you don't get him to the vet now!

night now isnt an option, the emergancy vets dont even open till 7:30, so im going to have to wait, ill be knocking on my parents door at 7 (8 mins though0 to make sure some ones awake and some one will be late for work (probably dad his jobs more flexiable) i really do know how important it is to get animals to a vet but just keeping repeating it isnt going to make them open any quicker!

as for miko, hes still hanging in there

i know your just trying to help, im just highly iritable sleep deprived and very very worried at the moment, iv not been sleeping proply because i have been ill my self only about 2 hours sleep a night, and no sleep tonight as iv been sat up with my boy.

iv just been and woke my parents up, dads going to take us to barnsley to get to the vets, im just going to have to turn up without booking as all i get when ringing is the answer phone (because they dont actually open for another half hour)

I'm so sorry to hear about Miko. Sometimes we do everything we can and it's never enough. I know you loved him dearly and will miss the little one. It's important that you were with him at the end. When I lost two of mine I wasn't with them and I regret that to this very day.
He'll no longer be at your side, but he'll be forever in your heart.
Rest in Peace little Miko. You're in the arms of an angel now.
