So,, i was wondering i seen photos of ozz(bea) wet as can be and my birds will not get into a bowl of water, and the misting, is not cleaning them well at all. any other suggestion , can i give him a shower..:S
Well if they're tame you can take them into the bathroom and see if they want to splash under the running tap. You could also try the shower but that might scare them a bit.

Yeah, I too am interested in any tips for getting my budgies to bathe. Skyla used to love bathing, but since she had her wing amputation, she has not been interested in it whatsoever! She's starting to look a little grungy, especially since her feathers are so pale. :S She's not really tame either so I don't think she'd go for a sink, and especially not a shower. Even wet lettuce leaves in the bathtub aren't doing it for her.
I'm having trouble with this too. :P
So am I, so I'm make doing with spraying them. They had their first ever spray today! And they are both looking a bit cleaner.
I supose spraying makes their feathers wet and encourages them to clean it off.

Thanks! I'll keep that in mind when I get Pickle! (If I ever have that trouble with him. Which I probably will.) :p
Gus won't bathe in a bowl and i don't spray him but he will sit on my shoulder in the shower. The way this started is i have a towl rail in the shower and it's high enough that it doesn't really get wet (it would be pretty dumb if the towels got wet in the shower huh), just a tiny bit of mist. so i sat him there for a few times, and he got used to it pretty quick, He likes licking the drops off the metal rail. if there isn't a towl rail i'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to mock up a perch on top of the shower rail or door or something. My shower is in a bath so after a while i would sit him on the edge, then he would get wetter. then after a few more times he will now sit on my shoulder. i try to avoid completely blasting him with the sprayer but he seems to do a fairly good job of avoiding it. I am also wary of getting soap on him, I wouldn't want to sting his little eyes. but he always comes out soakng wet, and enjoys a blow dry with a warm hairdryer on a low setting.
Aww that sounds too sweet!! I wish Billy and Lily would do that.
